Close your account, and what happens to your data
Closing is permanent from your side, but nothing is deleted. Here is exactly what stops, what your customers see, and how to get it reopened.
Before you close
Export what you’ll want later. On Invoices, the Export control gives you an Invoices CSV and a Payments CSV for any date range. There is no export after closing, because the dashboard is locked.
Close it
- Go to Settings › General and scroll to Close account. Owners only.
- Click Close account… and read the dialog. It spells out what stops, including for card payments if Stripe is connected.
- Type your shop’s name to confirm and click Close account for good.
What happens
- Your subscription is cancelled immediately, with no refund for the rest of the period.
- Everyone on the team is signed out, and any later sign-in lands on a page saying the account is closed.
- Stripe is disconnected. Your Stripe account, and any money in it, stays yours.
- Your quote request form and website address stop taking requests.
- Every owner gets an email confirming who closed it and when.
What your customers see
Quote and invoice links you have already sent still open, so a customer can read what they were quoted or billed. They can no longer accept a quote or pay by card or Pay by Bank. Bank transfer details still show, and anyone with an unpaid invoice is told to contact you directly.
Your data
Nothing is deleted. Quotes, invoices, credit notes and payments are kept as they are so the account can be reopened, and billing records are kept as long as tax law requires. If you’d rather it were deleted sooner, email us and say so; the privacy policy sets out your rights and a reply within a month.
Reopening
Reply to the closure email, or email info@thintent.com with your shop’s name. There is no reopen button; a person does it.
