Put a quote form on your website

Turn on your quote request page and link to it, or send your existing contact form’s submissions straight in. Either way each request arrives as a draft quote.

Your quote request page

  1. Go to Settings › Quote form and click Set up quote form.
  2. Under What customers can ask for, click Add a product (or one of the suggestion chips). For each product, pick the Sizes customers can pick and the Paper, say whether to Also ask about printed sides and pages, and add any Extra questions: folding, lamination, corners, binding or your own. New products start Hidden; switch Shown on form on once it’s set up.
  3. Under Who gets new requests, list up to five addresses. Left empty, requests go to the owners.
  4. Switch Accepting requests on. The switch needs at least one product shown.
  5. Copy the Link and put it in your website’s menu, your Google Business Profile, your email signature. Download QR code gives you one for print.

The page carries your logo (from Settings › General) and your phone number. It asks what they need, the quantity, size, paper, pages, when it’s needed by, printed sides, your extra questions, artwork, anything else, and then their name, company, email and phone. Preview form shows you what they’ll see. Customers always get “Other size”, “Not sure” and “Something else” as options.

Already have a form on your website?

At the bottom of the same page, click Create an address for my form. You get a Private address your web person can send submissions to: a JSON POST from the server with a name, an email and a message, plus a phone and company if you have them. The expandable For your developer section has the fields, limits and an example. Anyone with the address can send you requests, so it is masked on screen: Show reveals it, Copy copies it without revealing it. Make a new address replaces it if it leaks.

While your site’s own email is still on, you’ll get two emails per request.

What arrives

Each request opens as a draft quote with the lines drafted from what they asked for, and you get an email and a bell notification. The customer gets no email until you send the quote. See Answer a quote request.
