Change a quote after you’ve sent it
A sent quote is frozen, so what the customer accepted is exactly what you sent. To change it, revise it: a fresh draft, and the old one marked superseded.
While it’s a draft
Edit anything. Save draft keeps it, Delete draft removes it for good. Nothing has gone to the customer yet.
Once it’s sent
- Open the quote and click Duplicate, top right.
- Leave the customer as it is and the modal offers Replace Q-N, ticked. Leave it ticked and the button reads Revise.
- Click Revise. You get a new draft with the same lines; the old quote becomes Superseded and stops being acceptable at once, so the customer can’t take the old price while you work.
- Edit the new draft and send it. The customer’s old link then points them at the new quote.
Untick Replace and you get a plain duplicate instead: the old quote stays live and acceptable. Change the customer and it’s always a plain duplicate.
After they’ve accepted
The quote shows Awaiting review with a Request revision button. It works the same way, but their acceptance doesn’t carry over: they accept the revision when you send it. Nothing is sent to them until then.
Sending it again
While a quote is Sent, Resend quote email sends the same email again; after a bounce or failure the button reads Try again. Quotes are valid for 30 days from sending, and automatic follow-ups go to the customer at 3 and 10 days while it’s still open. An expired quote can’t be accepted; duplicate it to send an updated one.
